Saint Stephanie and the Stones

February 15, 2017

We are proud to announce that the title of the new album will be Saint Stephanie and the Stones!! It will be released on Friday April 7, 2017. You'll be able to find it on iTunes, Amazon, GooglePlay, Spotify, CD Baby, Bandcamp and a bunch of other online distributors!

The title is taken from one of the new tracks appearing on the record. It is one of 11 original songs we are releasing.

The original album art was created by the wonderful artist Sean Bray. The images are a play on the concept of the song, of a young woman living in a small ferry town dreaming of life in other places. Her record collection is her gateway to these other worlds and experiences.

We've wrapped up the recording and mixing for our new album and have sent the tracks off to be mastered! So it's a good time to announce that our CD release show will be at Iota Club and Cafe on Saturday April 8! That gives you plenty of time to clear your schedule, find a sitter, find a dog-walker, find whatever you need and make plans to come on out!!

Joining us will be the main who worked the board for this record, the amazing Don Zientara. Don is on Dischord Records and he runs Inner Ear Studios where we did this record and our first record. If you watched the Foo Fighters documentary Sonic Highways then you know who Don is because he was featured prominently in the second episode. He will be kicking off the evening with his own spin on acoustic indie rock. You won't want to miss seeing an actual DC legend do his art.

Finishing the night will be DC's Black Dog Prowl! They are one of the best pure rock n roll bands in the DC area. Think about all those bands from the 90s you loved, then mix in some modern flourishes, and you have BDP. We're honored to have them join us!

We have the rough mixes of the new record and we are so happy at how they sound. This is easily the best music we have ever done. We are so excited to be able to share it with you.

In the meantime, we will be back at The Bungalow in Chantilly on Friday February 24. Then Steve will be the featured act at Bethesda's Villain and Saint open mic on Tuesday March 7.

In the coming weeks we will start giving you snippets and samples of the new music, plus the unveiling of the record cover, done by the excellent artist Sean Bray. Stay tuned for all the excitement!
